There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Abstract:
In order to advance the discovery of new materials and decrease the development time of new materials, innovative methods must be established to quickly and reliably determine process-structure-property linkages for a variety of material. An important class of material for which such linkages would greatly aid the material design process are fiber reinforced polymer composites. These composites are used for a variety of structural application due to their light weight and excellent mechanical properties. These composites come in a variety of architectures and determination of the optimal configuration of fibers for a particular task is not trivial undertaking. The work outlined in this proposal will establish a protocol for developing efficient, data-driven, structure-property linkages in such composites.
