The Tech fest by The New Yorker, will host a full-day program exploring the most compelling stories in technology today. Global leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, and thinkers join New Yorker writers and editors to discuss the innovations that are shaping our world. the Tech fest takes place on Friday October 7, 2016.

Our very own Janet Murray will be appearing at the New Yorker TechFest to discuss the future of Virtual Reality storytelling. Janet is an interaction designer and a media theorist who focusses on digital narratives, and the author of “Hamlet on the Holodeck: The Future of Narrative in Cyberspace” and “Inventing the Medium: Principles of Interaction Design as a Cultural Practice.” She is the associate dean for research and faculty affairs and the Ivan Allen College Dean’s Professor at the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at Georgia Institute of Technology, where she directs the eTV Lab, which creates prototypes for story-driven interactive designs.
