All this talk about environmental justices sounds okay and interesting, and all, but how does it connect with the work students and young professionals are actually doing, day to day? Taking hydraulic fracturing as an example, we'll look at different kinds of work engineers have to do at different stages of their development as professionals, drawing connections between the tasks they have at hand - in the lab and in the field - and broader social and ethical concerns about equity, consent, and acceptable risk.
