At a national meeting of leaders and attorneys in the real estate technology business on September 20, Larson presented work of the Responsible End-User Licensing Lab (REUL Lab). The work of REUL Lab is funded in part by a grant from the Digital Integrative Liberal Arts Center (DILAC) of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Tech. DILAC is funded in turn by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation as well as other sources. Legal research is funded in part by support to Dr. Larson from the office of the Executive Vice President for Research at Georgia Tech.

In the program, titled "EULAs: Why copyright is not enough," Larson reviewed several respects in which copyright law might not be sufficient to protect the interests of intellectual property rights holders on websites. Larson demonstrated the utility of end-user licenses on websites to extend protection of proprietary information. He highlighted recent court cases addressing the enforceability of EULAs, including those summarized on REUL Lab's site at reullab.gatech.edu.
