No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Monday, September 26

Monday Night Football Watch Party
  • Where: Tech Rec
  • When: 8:30-10:30 p.m.

Are you ready for some football? Head out to Tech Rec to enjoy a Monday night game on the big screen as the Atlanta Falcons take on the New Orleans Saints. This event is free for all students.

Tuesday, September 27

 Flu Shot Clinic
  • Where: Health Promotion Classroom; second floor of Stamps Health Services
  • When: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Tis’ the season for the flu. Luckily, Stamps Health Services is offering flu shots for all Georgia Tech students who have paid their health fee. No appointment is necessary, but come out early to beat the line. Buzzcard is required.

Music and Mocktails
  • Where: Tech Rec
  • When: 6 – 9 p.m.

Reward yourself for being a responsible adult and getting your flu shot by heading out to Tech Rec for Music and Mocktails. Hosted by the Residence Hall Association, this event will include free games, cotton candy, popcorn, and delicious drinks.

 Wednesday, September 28

 Georgia Tech Farmers Market
  • Where: Tech Walkway
  • When: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Get into the Fall spirit and attend the Georgia Tech Farmers Market. Come out to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce, treats, and beverges. Be sure to check out the new vendors including Legacy Bakers, Generations Bakery, and Home Town Old Fashioned Hard Candy.

Thursday, September 29

 The Bourne Poetry Reading
  • Where: Kress Auditorium at the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking (500 10th Street NW)
  • When: 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy a relaxing evening of poetry at the Kress Audtiroium. The reading features guest poets Mark Doty and Ginger Murchison. This event is open to the public. No tickets nor reservation required.

 Friday, September 30

 Lauren Gunderson’s The Taming

  • Where: DramaTech Theatre
  • When: 6 – 8 p.m.

DramaTech Theatre will present The Taming from Sep. 30 to Oct. 8. This show is a comedic take on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew and is sure to entertain. Student tickets are $8 and can be purchased here.

Saturday, October 1

Georgia Tech vs. Miami
  • Where: Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field
  • When: 12 p.m.

Come cheer on the Jackets as they take on the Hurricanes at Bobby Dodd! This game will be held during Family Weekend and is also the Faculty and Staff Appreciation game. Invite your family and enjoy the game.

Sunday, October 2

The Final Game at Turner Field
  • Where: Turner Field
  • When: 3:10 p.m.

Tune in for the final Braves game at Turner Field! Before the game, Braves alumni will take the field and throw a ceremonial first pitch. Following the game, there will be a ceremonial final pitch, the transfer of home plate to SunTrust Park, a parade of Braves Country states, and a presentation featuring Braves VIPs. Don’t miss this historic event.
