Atlanta Parks and Recreation Commissioner Amy Phuong (IA 2005) and Sarah Higinbotham, a Brittain Fellow in Georgia Tech’s Writing and Communication Program, have joined the Leadership Atlanta program as members of its 2017 class.
The Leadership Atlanta program selects approximately 80 established leaders each year to represent a broad cross-section of metro Atlanta. Through retreats, full-day seminars, service projects, discussion groups and community tours, members explore critical community issues, examine themselves as leaders, and build relationships of trust and mutual understanding.
Leadership Atlanta is the oldest sustained community leadership program in the nation. For 47 years, it has connected and inspired leaders to strengthen metro Atlanta's communities.
