Green Habitats Foundation, Inc, a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable building, was appointed Steward of the Solar Decathlon house by the College of Architecture at Georgia Tech. In this capacity, Green Habitats will take possession of the completely solar-powered house in August 2008 to study and demonstrate the effectiveness of the materials, solar panels, insulation and heating and cooling systems.
