Full Summary: Join artist DJ Spooky, Georgia Tech professor and former president of the Science Fiction Research AssociationLisa Yaszek, author and screenwriter Balogun Ojetade, and food justice warrior Ain Chike at a film screening of of Wanuri Kahiu's "Pumzi" and Fabrice Monteiro's  "The Prophecy," two short films that explore environmentalism and Black Sci-Fi. Sponsored by the Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain as part of its Environmental Justice Series and the Office of the Arts, the discussion will focus on how Black science fiction artists from the Americas, Africa, and beyond use sci-fi as a tool for thinking about environmental justice.  Free.
