There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. "The goal of the Georgia Tech project is to home in on optimal reverse production systems - recycling infrastructures that reclaim as much of a used device as possible at the lowest cost possible. The team has developed mathematical models that evaluate existing recycling facilities, including collection centers, glass-reprocessing plants, and smelting facilities. Such models will determine the most efficient ways to use the facilities and help researchers figure out the right combination of collection fees, tax breaks, and additional reprocessing facilities."
