Three systems engineering professors at GEORGIA TECH have created a computer ranking system, called LRMC, that predicts college basketball rankings more accurately than most, correctly listing 26 of the 32 regional champs as one of the top two teams in their region in the past eight NCAA tournaments. Joel Sokol, one of the professors, gives us five teams the computer likes this year:
1. Kansas
2. Memphis
3. Duke
4. UCLA.
5. North Carolina
