There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Supply Chain Digest has an article talking about supply chain predictions for 2009. There are a variety of good insights here from a good cross-section of industry experts. The one that particularly caught my attention were the comments from Dr. John Langley of GEORGIA TECH. In the article, Dr. Langley says companies must re-assess what their core competencies really are, and think more collaboratively. "More than ever before, it is essential for supply chain organizations to meaningfully assess their core competencies and to make tough decisions as they arise," Langley says.
