Bruce A. Roth, founder of Daisy Alliance, awarded three prizes for the annual Daisy Alliance Essay Contest, "Nuclear Deterrence: Challenges of Today and Solutions for Tomorrow." The first place prize of $1,000 was awarded to Geoff Swanstrom, a Master's student in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The second place prize of $250 went to Jonathan Spratling, a freshman in the University of Georgia School of Public Policy and International Affairs. The third place prize of $100 was awarded to Ksenia Kulakova, also a Master's student at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
