Jenna Jordan (B.A. International Relations, Mills College; M.A. Stanford University in Political Science) is a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Chicago. Her doctoral dissertation examines the effectiveness of leadership decapitation against terrorist organizations. She also studies population transfers and attachments to territory. She has presented her research at a number of conferences. Her work has been supported by grants from the Smith Richardson Foundation and the Program on International Security Policy at the University of Chicago. She has recently published “When Heads Roll: Assessing the Effectiveness of Leadership Decapitation” in Security Studies, October 2009
