Ayanna Howard has been named the 2008 recipient of the Georgia Tech Faculty Woman of Distinction Award.

Dr. Howard will receive this honor at the Georgia Tech Women's Leadership Conference, which will take place November 7-8 at the Student Center. Awards will also be given to an outstanding female staff member, graduate student, undergraduate student, and alumna.

The mission of the Women's Leadership Conference is to celebrate, recognize, and learn more about the strong leadership exhibited by women of the Georgia Tech community.
