Ann Trippe has been named a recipient of an IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Undergraduate/Pre-Graduate Scholarship. She was one of seven students selected for this honor.
A senior majoring in electrical engineering, Ms. Trippe will be working on X-band RF amplifiers integrated in an organic-based platform. Potential applications for this research include communication, radar, and sensing systems.
Ms. Trippe works in the Microwave Circuit Technology Group, which is led by Associate Professor John Papapolymerou, in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). Dr. Papapolymerou has been on the ECE faculty since 2001 and specializes in electromagnetics and electronic design and applications.
Ms. Trippe is the second student from the Microwave Circuit Technology Group to receive this MTT-S scholarship; Diana Fuertes received the same honor in 2008.
