Manos Tentzeris and his co-authors have been named the recipients of the 2010 Piergiorgio L. E. Uslenghi Letters Prize Paper Award of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society.
Entitled “A novel conformal RFID-enabled module utilizing inkjet-printed antennas and carbon nanotubes for gas detection applications,” their paper was published in a 2009 issue of the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, vol. 8, pp. 653-656.
Dr. Tentzeris and his colleagues will receive this award at the IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and the 2010 CNC/USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, which will be held July 11-17 in Toronto. Established in honor of P. L. E. Uslenghi, the founding editor of the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, this award is given for the best Letters paper published in the preceding calendar year, judged on the basis of technical contributions, style, and presentation.
A professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech since 1998, Dr. Tentzeris specializes in electromagnetics and electronic design and applications.
