In this Brown Bag Lunch, Gabriel Alfonso Rincón-Mora hopes to summarize major aspects of his professional and personal life. He will review his background and life before his faculty appointment at Georgia Tech, such as his multi-cultural upbringing, schooling, and days at Texas Instruments. He will then briefly describe his research on power and energy micro chips and the vision that drives it, focusing (but not necessarily dwelling) on its applications: mobile and micro-scale devices.
The talk ends with a discussion on the activities and hobbies that he enjoys outside his research work, such as volleyball, technical and creative writing, stage theatre, and travel.
