With the announcement of the retirement of Robert M. Nerem, PhD, the search for the new director of the Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience (IBB) has begun.
Since 1995, Nerem has served as the director of IBB, a research institute whose mission is to integrate engineering, information technology, and the life sciences in the conduct of biomedical research. Since his arrival at Georgia Tech in 1987, Nerem's research focused on tissue engineering
