There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

CSE Seminar: Paul Burns

Title

"Indirect Sensor Self-Calibration by Tracking Targets With Known Dynamics"

Abstract

In recent years, many radar systems have undergone a conceptual transformation from expensive one-off stand-alone systems to numerous inexpensive sensors connected over an information network. A pressing need has emerged for accurate sensor registration in order to promote global information sharing.

In this talk, I will discuss the challenges and some traditional solutions for sensor (particularly radar) calibration, and introduce the concept of indirect self-calibration.
