An Always-On, Low-Power, Gesture Recognition Camera

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Smart devices that wake up with voice commands have gained popularity in recent years, and now researchers at Georgia Institute of Technology have taken it one step farther: an always-on camera. Researchers on the project include ECE Professor Justin Romberg, ON Semiconductor Junior Professor and ECE Associate Professor Arijit Raychowdhury, and their graduate students Anvesha A, Shaojie Xu, and Ningyuan Cao.
