Full Summary:

Go T.E.C.H. presents the second annual Employee Health Fair in the Student Center Ballroom.

Following a large attendance last year, Go T.E.C.H. (Teams Encouraging Campus Health) is sponsoring the second annual Employee Heath Fair on Tuesday, coinciding with National Employee Health and Fitness Day.

The event will offer nutrition tips, fitness equipment demonstrations, free assessments and chair massages, along with giveaways and door prizes. Held in the Student Center Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., health screenings will also be offered, for an additional fee, by HealthCheck Services.

Screenings can run the gamut, from blood tests for prostate cancer at $45 and a lipid profile for $20 to a comprehensive cardiac profile for $160. Tests will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A physician will be on-site to supervise the tests, and Go T.E.C.H. urges those interested in participating in screenings to refrain from eating or drinking for six hours prior to the screenings. (Water, diet soda or coffee with non-sugar sweeteners and non-dairy creamers are OK.)

For more information on the health screenings, call HealthCheck Services at 770-888-8988 or e-mail healthcheckservices@gmail.com. Payment by cash, check Master Card and Visa are accepted.
