There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Sergio Goldenberg (left), Ph.D. student in Digital Media, and Thomas Barnwell, master’s student in Digital Media, showcase the Smartphone/iPad Electronic Programming Guide and Story Navigator. The project uses an iPad and an iPhone to browse channel information, acting as a remote control that allows the viewer to see live video of what’s on each channel before they change it on the big screen. The project also allows for interactive browsing of documentary film content and a “Choose Your Own Adventure” style of changing elements in a story.
