Dr. Anatoliusz “Tolek” Lesniewski is a Senior Academic Professional and the Director of the Imagine Lab in the College of Architecture. Dr. Lesniewski joined the College of Architecture as research faculty in 1984. He previously worked as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, Warsaw University of Technology (1971-1984), a Research Scientist at The Polytechnic of Central London (1981, 1983) and a Research Fellow at Kyoto University (1977-1978).
At Georgia Tech, he has taught courses in Computer Graphics, Computer Aided Design and Computer Modeling and Visualization. He is currently offering courses in 3D Computer Modeling and Advanced Modeling and Animation. He is a founding member and the director of the Imagine Lab, a research lab specializing in architectural visualization. Over the years he has been a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on numerous projects for Georgia Tech, Central Atlanta Progress, Piedmont Park Conservancy, Georgia Aquarium and many others.
During his involvement with the local company Still Current Design, Inc. (1985-1989), Dr. Lesniewski designed multiple interactive marketing systems to support economic development in Georgia, in the Southeast and in Australia.
Dr. Lesniewski has been a faculty member of GVU (Graphics, Visualization and Usability) Center in the College of Computing since its creation in 1991.
