NanoFANS Forum

*********************************
There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Agenda

  • 11:00 AM — Welcome from Dr. Jim Meindl, director, Nanotechnology Research Center
  • 11:10 AM — Dr. Niren Murthy on "New Materials for Treating and Imaging Inflammatory Diseases"
  • 11:50 AM — Dr. Michael Davis on "Novel Strategies for Treating Myocardial Infarction"
  • 12:30 PM — Break
  • 12:45 PM — Jason White on "Wireless Cardiovascular Pressure Measurement Systems: Applied Nanotechnology"
  • 1:25 PM — CardioMEMS Demonstration of System Operation: Implant and Measurement

The purpose of this meeting is also to let the researchers in these biomedical/ life sciences areas know about the wide range of resources available at the microelectronics research center to enable nanotechnology research through National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN). The NNIN is an integrated networked partnership of user facilities, supported by the National Science Foundation, serving the needs of nanoscale science, engineering and technology. NNIN is a research facilitator, providing the high technology equipment resources, staff expertise, and training to enable high quality nanoscale research.
