The Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research and Innovation hosts Dr. Deepak Divan as finalist for director of the Strategic Energy Institute. During this lecture, he provide his vision of how Georgia Tech can best contribute to energy research and how he would achieve that vision.
About This Candidate:
Dr. Divan is a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the director of the Intelligent Power Infrastructure Consortium (IPIC), a university-industry-utility consortium that has been formed to provide a focal point for the academic teaching and research program in advanced power technologies at Georgia Tech. IPIC provides a mechanism to foster and accelerate the development and adoption of early-stage pre-competitive high-risk and high-impact technologies in power applications.
