The Georgia Institute of Technology, in conjunction with Atlanta Sports Council (ASC), USA Diving, and Coca-Cola will host USA Diving’s official team send-off prior to departing for the 2016 Olympic games in Rio. The send-off will feature open practices, autograph sessions, and media opportunities.

The send-off will take place the week of July 18 at the McAuley Aquatic Center in the Campus Recreation Center. Publically open water training practice sessions will occur on July 20, July 22 and July 23. Additionally, open autograph sessions will take place July 20 and July 23 in the H2O Cafe.

In addition to the 2016 U.S. Olympic Diving Team, members of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Diving Team will travel to Atlanta to join the festivities. Olympians Cynthia Potter and Greg Louganis will host a commentary session during afternoon training on Wednesday, July 20.

Open sessions are free to the public and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until maximum capacity is reached. Entry will begin 15 minutes prior to each event, and spectators should arrive no earlier than 30 minutes in advance of each session.

Water Training Practice Session: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Water Training Practice Session: 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. *will feature special ‘Dive-in’ commentating by Cynthia Potter and Greg Louganis

Autograph Session (H20 Café): 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. * 2016 U.S. Olympic Diving Team and Greg Louganis will be present at the Autograph Session

Friday, July 22

Water Training Practice Session: 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Media Interviews (Room 147): 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
