The Student Polymer Network (SPN) of the Georgia Tech Polymer Network (GTPN) has been actively growing over the 2015-2016 year, hosting career development seminars, participating in STEM outreach programs, hosting visiting scientists, and attending conferences.
The SPN 2015 Poster session showcased over 30 posters from our talented student researchers. Our group also hosted a booth at the Atlanta Science Festival 2016, teaching students of all ages the importance of polymers in our modern society and some ways in which they are used.
In June of 2016, the SPN sent a delegation of 12 graduate students to the National Graduate Research Polymer Conference in Akron, OH where two of our students, Nils Persson and Zhibo Yuan, took first and second place in the poster session.
