There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Georgia Tech master’s graduate Shane Kimbrough (’98, Operations Research) will fly to the International Space Station this September to begin a five-and-a-half-month mission. He and the crew will perform 250 research projects before returning in February. Kimbrough will serve as commander of the space station for three months of his stay.
The retired U.S. Army colonel is one of 14 Georgia Tech astronauts who have flown to space — he spent 16 days in orbit aboard the space shuttle Endeavor in 2008.
On Thursday, July 7, Georgia Tech will travel to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston to talk to Kimbrough about the upcoming mission, his previous spaceflight, and his days at Georgia Tech.
If you have a question for him, tweet to @GeorgiaTech or email socialmedia@gatech.edu by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6. We’ll select several questions to ask Kimbrough on camera. They will be shared in the coming weeks.
