Parag Chordia will be showing off LaDiDa, a reverse karaoke iPhone application at South By Southwest Interactive (SXSW).   You sing or rap into the phone, and LaDiDa will analyze your voice and compose music to match. LaDiDa was developed at Georgia Tech’s Music Intelligence Lab, which is part of the Center for Music Technology.  

Chordia has founded a company, Khush (www.khu.sh), to market his intelligent music applications, and the company will be presenting LaDiDa with a singing pitch on March 15.  Khush will only have two minutes to make the presentation and Chordia believes this type of technology is changing the industry.

“We will demonstrate how artificial intelligence is going to transform the music industry over the next five years,” said Chordia.  “The technology is engaging and immersive, as it allows the participant to interact and share in the joy of making music.”

Chordia says that he believes LaDiDa has great marketing potential because any casual singer can enjoy the technology.
