There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

On March 7 and 8 the Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community hosted 20 accepted Computer Science and Computational Media students for an on-campus overnight event.

Accepted students came from Alabama, Georgia and Florida to spend a day in the life of a College of Computing student. The event kicked off with a demo and tour of the machine shop hosted by RoboJackets. On Sunday evening, the accepted students joined forces with current undergraduates for team trivia, then enjoyed playing board games on into the night. On Monday, students attended two introductory CS classes, toured campus and sat in on a faculty/student panel discussion.

Having the opportunity to see current and accepted students begin to create friendship before they have even enrolled in Georgia Tech made this event exciting and successful. There will be a second overnight event April 18 and 19.
