On Monday, March 8, College of Computing student organization leaders met to talk collaboration and communication. Representatives from 12 organizations discussed ways to increase the effectiveness of their events in serving the College’s undergraduates. Essentially the leaders got a chance to network and get to know other organizations, as well as work on possible future collaborative events. The meeting came at an important time, as all College organizations now are busily working on compiling schedules and budgets for next year.
This event was part of a renewed effort by the Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community to develop the student’s planning and leadership skills. Other components of this effort include a “transitions” workshop to train new officers and a planned leadership retreat in August for the president and vice presidents of the organizations.
