TIME (6/23, Park) reports, “In the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, researchers…describe the case of a woman who experienced nerve damage severe enough to cause numbness and hospital care after a day of wearing skinny jeans.” On its website, CBS News (6/23) reports that the authors “report that the 35-year-old woman was wearing tight-fitting skinny jeans while helping a friend pack and move for several hours.” The woman later “tripped and fell because her feet were so numb she could not walk properly.” She “said she was unable to stand up after falling because of the temporary paralysis and swelling.”
