ABSTRACT:

Beginning in 2002, Travelocity and the Sabre Research Group collaborated  to develop the Enterprise Network Model (ENM).  The ENM combines discrete choice customer modeling with simulation and large-scale optimization to improve Travelocity's management of its on-line travel distribution business.  The ENM helped Travelocity become a more effective retailer and contributed $43 million per year to Travelocity's bottom line.  This project was recognized in 2005 as an Edelman competition finalist.
