IDEA Workshop (Improvisation for Design of Engineering Alternatives)

*********************************
There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

IDEA is a group of Georgia Tech researchers who apply the techniques of improvisational humor to catalyze technical innovation. While this approach has been used in non-technical innovation for years, they apply it to generating unique technical solutions to engineering design problems.

Join Georgia Tech professors Pete Ludovice, Lew Lefton, and Richard Cantrambone for a workshop on using improvisation (the funny kind you see on “Whose Line Is It Anyway”) to improve engineering design.

Bring your puzzling design problems to an evening that will be both educational and funny. Refreshments will be served.
