The Georgia Institute of Technology was among four recipients of the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s (MAC) Global Innovation awards. The awards were announced during the Chamber’s seventh annual ceremony held April 20 honoring international business excellence, innovation and leadership.
As one of the nation’s leading research universities, Georgia Tech was recognized in the innovation category and for going above and beyond in exhibiting excellence in the area of global commerce. Georgia Tech President G.P. “Bud” Peterson accepted the award on behalf of Georgia Tech.
“The Atlanta region is fueled by global commerce,” said Hala Moddelmog, MAC president and CEO. “The work that these companies have done on a global scale has helped grow Atlanta’s international brand and is a key component in driving the region’s economic engine.”
