Summary Sentence: Parking restrictions from October 15 to October 17

Full Summary: During Homecoming weekend, special football parking restrictions will be implemented to accommodate visitors attending the homecoming parade and game.

The following parking lot closures will occur for Homecoming Weekend.

Thursday, October 15

To accommodate for game day television coverage and Third Eye Blind concert, please move your vehicles from the following lots/streets by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 15:

* Lower E44 lot, directly behind Daniel Lab
* Upper E44 lot, behind the Emerson (A. French) and Lyman Hall Buildings
* 6th street from Ferst Drive to McMillan Street
* Hemphill Avenue from 8th Street to Ferst Drive

Friday, October 16

The Mini 500 Race will take place at 5 p.m. Please move your vehicles from the following lots/streets by 3 p.m. on Friday, October 16:

* Fowler Street from Bobby Dodd Way to 4th Street
* 4th Street from Fowler Street to Brittain Drive
* Brittain Drive from 4th Street to Bobby Dodd Way
* E52
Note: Vehicles that are still in E50 (Peters Deck) at 5:00 p.m. will not be able to exit until the conclusion of the race.

Saturday, October 17

Please move your vehicles from the following lots by 6 a.m. on Saturday, October, 17:

* E40, E41, E44 (Fowler Street, west of Peters Deck), E45, E46, E47, E48, E49, E50, E63, E65, ER51 (Techwood Drive from North Avenue to 4th Street; Brittain Drive; both sides of Fowler Street from 10th Street to 4th Street), E52, W21, W24, and Cherry Street (meters) between North Avenue and Ferst Drive.
* W01 (Ferst Drive between Cherry Street and Visitor Parking Area 2), W02, and W03, and Visitor Area 3.

The following areas must remain clear between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. for the Ramblin Wreck Parade:

* W24 / Cherry Street adjacent to the baseball stadium

The Grocery Shuttle will not run October 17. The Stingerette will not begin running until 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Be advised: Vehicles remaining in the restricted areas will be towed.

Alternate Parking Lots

Displaced customers may move their vehicles to alternate lots beginning Thursday, October 15. E70, W01 (north of Means Street, behind CRC), W06, W07, W10 (CRC), W23, W25, W26, W27, W28, W32 and WR29. The Tech Square Parking Deck (E81) is no longer available as an alternate parking area for football games. Evening/weekend access will be suspended for E81.

Vehicles which have been temporarily relocated to alternate parking lots due to the football game must be returned to assigned areas by 8 a.m., Monday, October 19. Vehicles that remain in the alternate parking zones after the stated time and date are subject to citation. If special exceptions are required, please contact the Parking Office at 404-385-PARK for instructions.
