Career Preparation for the Global Workplace

OIE is collaborating with Career Services to offer this workshop-style event. This session is designed for anyone who has studied abroad, is thinking about studying abroad, or is an international student at Georgia Tech. Topics covered will be : skills acquired through study abroad experiences or through the international student experience; learning how to articulate those skills on your resume, cover letter, and in interviews; and examining crosscultural differences in the workplace. Cross Cultural Simulation

This is an opportunity to try BARNGA, a fun intercultural simulation. This is highly participatory activity in which you can “learn” a new culture and experience interacting
with people from other cultures. Discussion of the experience will follow. Join us for a fun and interactive intercultural event.

Join us at the Scholarships Symposium to view poster presentations from returned study abroad
participants, and hear from representatives of various scholarship opportunities. The poster browsing will be followed by an Essay Writing Workshop at 6 PM, focused on
developing a strong and competitive personal statement for any scholarship application.

Yes, it's that time of the year again! Every year we bring this special event and deliver exciting performances, delicious authentic Taiwanese food, and games to about 300 people in Atlanta. We have coordinated this year's event with Emory TASA and GSU TASA! The purpose of this event is to introduce Taiwanese culture to everyone in Atlanta , and also let the audience “experience a trip to Taiwan.” You not only get FREE FOOD but also FREE GAMES & PERFORMANCES!
