There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Title: Millimeter-wave and Terahertz Integrated Circuits for Extreme Environments in SiGe Technology
Committee:

Abstract: The objective of the proposed research is to investigate the feasibility of implementing high performance integrated circuit and systems at mmW and terahertz frequencies in silicon technologies for space applications. mmW and terahertz circuits were designed and implemented in advanced SiGe technologies. Novel techniques were implemented to alleviate the challenges associated with the design, implementation and characterization of these types of high frequency circuits. Moreover radiation sensitivity testing and analysis was performed for the first time on mmW circuits to better understand the role of single-event transients occurring in RF receivers due to high energy ion strikes present in space.
