Georgia Tech's Rehabilitation Engineering and Applied Research (REAR) Lab and Atlanta's Shepherd Center are offering a one-day "boot camp" to teach physical therapists and other health care professionals techniques for training new wheelchair users. This training session is based on an established curriculum called the Wheelchair Skills Program (WSP), and includes evaluation and training tools to help practitioners translate research evidence into clinical practice. The target audience includes not only health care professionals but administrators and other stakeholders."
