There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. On May 12, 2016, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will begin premium processing for cap-subject H-1B petitions requesting premium processing. Students who have timely filed a cap-subject H1-B with their employers should submit the Cap-Gap I-20 Extension e-form in iStart. OIE will review these requests and confirm if the Cap-Gap is approvable in SEVIS. Please do not request OIE to “check your status in SEVIS”, if you would like to see if you are eligible for the Cap-Gap please first submit the e-form.
