Enlu Zhou has been appointed Fouts Family Assistant Professor, as announced by Georgia Tech’s Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISyE), effective May 15, 2016.
“Enlu was selected for this professorship because of her exceptional record of scholarship and leadership in the areas of simulation optimization and stochastic control,” said ISyE School Chair and Professor Edwin Romeijn.
Zhou’s research interests include simulation optimization, stochastic control, and Monte Carlo methods, with applications in financial engineering and revenue management.
Prior to Georgia Tech, Zhou served as an assistant professor at the Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering Department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2009 to 2013. She received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2009.
