There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Wind Ensemble Concert Band and Percussion Ensembles open the Spring concert Season. The Wind Ensemble will perform two works by American composers that take the titles of hymns for their inspiration. Be Thou My Vision explores the melodic material of the original hymn directly, while Give Us This Day uses the text as inspiration for a short symphony based on making the most of every day of life. In addition the Concert Band and percussion ensembles will feature a lively mix of contemporary and traditional literature.
