No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The GT Piano Project finds a home on Tech Walkway!

Full Summary:

Since the piano arrived on campus last August, it has been displayed, repaired, tuned and now painted so that it can provide some stress relief, fun, and fellowship for students during their end-of-semester reading days.

We hope you'll join us on Tech Walkway in the coming days:

Thursday 4/21(11am-2pm) - stop by around noon and you *may* see a couple of Earl Klugh's band members drop by to tickle the ivories!

Monday 4/25-Wed 4/27(11am-2pm) - Stress-less piano will be out on Tech Walkway during reading days to provide relaxation and an outlet for the intense stress of the end of the semester. Passers by can play, listen or color the piano with sidewalk chalk!

Wed 4/27 (4pm) - we will wrap up reading days with an outdoor concert on the Stress-Less piano

The GT Piano Project started with an idea of placing a piano in an an accessible location and adding a second element of interactivity so that piano players and non players alike could enjoy the piece. Several students took on the task of painting the piano in a chalk-board-like paint and placing a static design over the paint that student can color in with chalk.
