Please join the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship for a talk by Bill Nuti, of NCR Corporation.
Bill Nuti is President, CEO, and Chairman of NCR Corporation. NCR is the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, enabling more than 550 million transactions daily across retail, finance, travel, hospitality, telecom and technology, and small business.
Since joining NCR in 2005, Bill has orchestrated one of the most successful business reinventions in recent history, while transforming the way consumers connect, interact, and transact with business. With over a century of legacy and culture at its back, Bill made critical decisions to reinvent NCR over the long term; these changes included a shift of the core business model from hardware to more software and SaaS, spinning-off Teradata, moving the company’s headquarters to Georgia, building a global manufacturing network in five countries, acquiring several high-growth companies in the software and SaaS space, and expanding into new markets, adjacencies, and underpenetrated emerging markets.
Prior to joining NCR as CEO in 2005, Bill served as president and CEO of Symbol Technologies and held multiple positions at Cisco Systems, including a dual role of Senior Vice President of the company’s Worldwide Service Provider Operations and Senior Vice President of U.S. Theater Operations, which is responsible for more than $15 billion of Cisco’s global revenue stream.
Bill is a frequent speaker at high profile business and technology events. He is also an established enterprise and business policy leader in Washington, D.C., where he founded a CEO policy forum on tax reform and competitiveness; he spoke at the White House Forum on “Strategy for American Innovation.”
He is a member of the Georgia Institute of Technology advisory board, a Long Island University trustee, and serves on the Board of Directors for United Continental Holdings and Coach, Inc. Bill holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Long Island University.
Nuti will speak at Georgia Tech's IMPACT Speaker Series on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
About the Impact Speaker Series:
Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership." The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni, and the Atlanta business community an opportunity to network and learn from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and non-profit leaders. The lecture series is sponsored by the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
The series is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required.
