There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

On April 20 the College of Computing will host its 19th annual Awards Celebration, and nominations are now open for our deserving students, professors, peers and other individuals. To read the full list of awards, visit the 2010 awards page. Each award listing details eligibility requirements (for both nominator and nominee), as well as the criteria for winning. Please note that the following awards have been added this year:
Also new this year is that the awards committee will ONLY accept nominations made via the online forms available on the awards page. This not only will make a large number of nominations manageable, it will also ensure that all necessary supporting information is included with each nomination. Anyone who submits a nomination through other means will be directed to the awards page. All nominations are due Jan. 31, 2010, and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, to be held April 21 in the Klaus Atrium.
For questions, just send an email to awards@cc.gatech.edu. Meanwhile, please spend at least a few minutes over the holidays thinking about which students, faculty and staff are deserving of a College of Computing award. In January we’ll send a couple reminders to submit your nominations.
