There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Monday, April 4

NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Viewing Party

  • If you’re a fan of college basketball, come watch the end of March Madness on the big screen. Come see how your bracket stood up — or didn’t.
  • 8:30 p.m., Tech Rec, First Floor, Student Center. Free.
Tuesday, April 5

Women, Science, and Technology Distinguished Lecture

  • The Georgia Tech Center for the Study of Women, Science, and Technology (WST) and the Georgia Tech College of Engineering will host the 2016 WST Distinguished Lecturer on Tuesday, April 5. April Brown from the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University will discuss “Competition or Collaboration? Impact on the Participation and Success of Women in Science and Engineering.” Brown’s research focuses on new materials and electronic devices for advanced sensing and communications. Wednesday, April 6

Softball vs. Georgia State

  • 6 to 8 p.m., Shirley Clements Mewborn Field. Free with BuzzCard.

Baseball vs. Kennesaw State

  • 6 to 10 p.m., Russ Chandler Stadium. Free with BuzzCard.

Baseball or softball? On April 6, the Georgia Tech Softball team takes on Georgia State University and the Georgia Tech Baseball team takes on Kennesaw State University. Enjoy the warm weather and a lively game.

Thursday, April 7

SCPC: Sting Break Roundup

  • Tech Square will be transformed into the Wild West by the Student Center Programs Council (SCPC). This event will include carnival rides, food, games, prizes, and entertainment including a mechanical bull and a petting zoo. Come out for a fun time and a free t-shirt (while supplies last).

  • 6 – 10 p.m., 5th Street, Tech Square. Free with BuzzCard.
Friday, April 8

DramaTech presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

  • DramaTech will perform the Tony Award winning show, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, on April 8. The light-hearted and comedic performance features a fictional spelling bee at Putnam Valley Middle School. A diverse group of teenage spellers compete to win the bee. This show features audience participation, so make sure to attend for a fun and exciting time.
  • 8 to 10 p.m., DramaTech Theater (back side of the Ferst Center for the Arts). $8 for students; reserve tickets here
