Women, Science, and Technology Distinguished Lecture
The Georgia Tech Center for the Study of Women, Science, and Technology (WST) and the Georgia Tech College of Engineering will host the 2016 WST Distinguished Lecturer on Tuesday, April 5. April Brown from the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University will discuss “Competition or Collaboration? Impact on the Participation and Success of Women in Science and Engineering.” Brown’s research focuses on new materials and electronic devices for advanced sensing and communications. Tech Square will be transformed into the Wild West by the Student Center Programs Council (SCPC). This event will include carnival rides, food, games, prizes, and entertainment including a mechanical bull and a petting zoo. Come out for a fun time and a free t-shirt (while supplies last).
