Twenty years ago, Bob Nerem (left) invited friends like fellow researcher Buddy Ratner (right, from the University of Washington) to what has come to be known as the Regenerative Medicine Workshop. Ratner was there to deliver the opening keynote lecture at the 20th edition of the meeting.
