Title: Patents and IP: Protect Your Ideas and Your Careers

Abstract:
Do you know the best practices for protecting your intellectual property and how to avoid making big mistakes now?  How can intellectual property  affect your career, regardless of the career you choose?  This presentation will include basic IP information and career discussions.

Speaker Bio:
Jeffrey R. Kuester is a partner at Taylor English Duma LLP, where he is chair of the Patent Practice and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Law Practice. Jeff has been ranked as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Georgia and as one of the Top 1000 Patent Practitioners in the world.  He is a special assistant attorney general in Intellectual Property for the State of Georgia, as well as a member of the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia, for which he has served as chair of both the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Sections. Prior to receiving his law degree from Georgia State University, Jeff earned his electrical engineering degree from Georgia Tech while working for IBM and Georgia Power Company.
