The College of Computing is very pleased to announce that "Data Streaming Algorithms for Efficient and Accurate Estimation of Flow Size Distribution," a paper by CoC Ph.D. students Abhishek Kumar and Min-Ho Sung, their Ph.D. thesis advisor Prof. Jun (Jim) Xu and AT&T collaborator Dr. Jia Wang won the Best Student Paper Award at the ACM SIGMETRICS/IFIP PERFORMANCE 2004 Joint International Conference on Measurement and Modeling of Computer Systems held in New York (June 12-16, 2004).
The paper was selected from an initial list of 265 submissions. Sigmetrics - Performance presents papers on the development and application of state of the art, broadly applicable analytic, simulation, and measurement-based performance evaluation techniques.
