About FireHUD

FireHUD, a device that helps firefighters track their vital signs while fighting fires, won the 2016 InVenture Prize at Georgia Tech.  The video below was made when the team was a finalist for the undergraduate invention competition.

Zachary Braun, a computer engineering major, and Tyler Sisk, an electrical engineering major, invented a a real-time monitoring system and Head Up Display that provides biometric and environmental data to firefighters and officials outside. The goal is to decrease the level of uncertainty firefighters face.

The first-place prize came with $20,000, a free patent filing and other prizes. The team will also represent Georgia Tech in the inaugural ACC InVenture Prize contest.
